About Me

Bookworm, bibliophile, reader, bookseller, reviewer, bookshop-crazy person. I’m Sam and I spend pretty much all day, every day, surrounded by books. I have eclectic tastes in reading: children’s and YA fiction, literature, the occasional mystery – and then I have quite vast collections of books about books and the First World War.

Apart from books I love beautiful things – music, nature, the countryside, walking and hiking, gardens and gardening, animals, design, decorating, cooking… of course, I don’t get nearly enough time to enjoy all of these things but the one thing I always make time for is photography; apart from being a booknut I am very much a wannabe photographer.

I write reviews mainly for myself but if you enjoy them too then that makes me a happy human bean.
